10 Things You Didn’t Know About Wynn Al Marjan Island

Wynn Al Marjan Island is one of the most talked-about resort launches anywhere in the world. Set to open in 2027, the hotly anticipated project will be the largest Wynn property ever built, with more than 1,500 rooms, suites, and villas. It’s also the brand’s first beachfront escape globally and its first destination in the Middle East. Bringing together luxury stays, entertainment, dining, retail, and even a gaming element in one extraordinary location – right on Ras Al Khaimah’s lifestyle hub, Al Marjan Island – it’s also a first-of-its-kind integrated resort in the Gulf region. But beyond the headlines, there are plenty of fascinating details you might not know. Here are 10 of them…

1. How high has construction climbed?

The tower already soars well above the 60th floor, with the elevator cores creeping even higher – proof that momentum is building as it reaches towards its full height of 70 stories!

2. How many hands are building the dream?

It takes a small city to raise a landmark: over 17,000 construction team members are on site each day.

3. How many pools can you splash in?

Get your swimwear ready – the resort will feature 12 pools of different styles, from sprawling lagoons to tranquil wading spots, creating a lush ‘poolscape’ to match every mood.

4. What’s the theatre capacity?

The entertainment doesn’t stop at the shoreline. Wynn Al Marjan Island will boast a 900-seat theatre designed for big-ticket shows and unforgettable performances – alongside a 15,000 sqm retail promenade and a 7,500 sqm events centre.

5. A private white sand beach?

Absolutely. A 420 meter private beach will wrap around the resort in full view of many of Wynn Al Marjan Island’s spectacular dining venues.

6. Topping out soon?

Eyes to the sky: the resort’s spire – a 305-metre hotel tower – is expected to reach its peak by late 2025, marking a major milestone on the road to opening.

7. How many restaurant options?

Food lovers are in for a treat. From chic sky bars to buzzing beach clubs, expect 22 bar and dining venues, with flavours and experiences ranging taking in many cuisines and settings. There are also dynamic designs for a beach club and nightclub.

8. How many resort team members are on board already?

Right now, a core team of about 170 people is shaping the project behind the scenes. By the end of 2025, that number should grow to around 300 staff. And once the resort opens in early 2027, it will be home to a 9,600-strong team, with large-scale hiring kicking off in late 2026.

9. Marina magic Arriving by sea?

You’ll be in good company. A deep-water marina with 101 berths will welcome yachts up to 85 metres, making it a playground for seafarers.

10. “Enclave” — a world within a world

Saving the most exclusive for last: Enclave is Wynn Al Marjan’s boutique ‘resort within the resort’. Think three private pools, cabanas, and even pool concierges for guests who want it all.
