As one of the region’s most progressive destinations, Ras Al Khaimah is proud to offer couples from around the world and at home with the opportunity to arrange a Civil Marriage ceremony during their stay in the emirate.
In the UAE, Civil Marriage is a legal contract that binds a man and a woman of non-Muslim faith. It is a popular option for couples who choose to marry but are not religious.
To make the process of applying for a Civil Marriage license as simple and easy as possible, Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority enables Wedding Planners to apply for a permit on a couple’s behalf.
Wedding Planners can request a Civil Marriage application by emailing
civilmarriage@raktda.com , attaching the mandatory documents: copy of the business license; copy of service agreement/event planning contract; copy of UAE ID.
Upon initial approval of the application, a payment order of AED 100 will be issued. The permit will be issued electronically on receipt of payment, and can then be used to log on to the
Ras Al Khaimah Government Portal to initiate the civil marriage application process.
To arrange for a marriage official to attend the specified wedding venue, email
civilmarriage@courts.rak.ae.
