With more than 20 years of global experience in destination marketing, tourism and strategic communications, Emma Campbell is a visionary marketing leader recognised for building globally admired brands and delivering high-impact campaigns that drive visitation, reputation and sustainable growth. As Chief Marketing Officer at Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority, she leads the emirate's global marketing and communications strategy, strengthening Ras Al Khaimah's position as one of the world's fastest-growing tourism destinations.
Emma is known for combining strategic thinking with creativity and data-driven decision-making to deliver measurable business outcomes. She has extensive expertise across destination branding, integrated marketing, digital transformation, stakeholder engagement, reputation management and team development. A collaborative and people-focused leader, she is passionate about building high-performing teams, fostering inclusive cultures and developing future talent.
Prior to joining RAKTDA, Emma served as Sector Marketing Director at the Department of Culture and Tourism, Abu Dhabi, where she led destination marketing across 26 international markets. She played a pivotal role in strengthening the Experience Abu Dhabi brand by creating greater consistency across destination marketing and brand architecture, while leading integrated global campaigns that supported the emirate's Tourism 2030 vision. She also spearheaded high-profile global campaigns with Chris Hemsworth and Elsa Pataky and led the launch of the Saadiyat Cultural District campaign, helping further elevate Abu Dhabi's international profile. During her time at DCT, she also served as Acting Strategic Communications Director, leading award-winning communications initiatives and strengthening executive profiling and crisis communications.
Earlier, as Chief Marketing Officer at Tourism Fiji, Emma played a pivotal role in guiding the destination through the COVID-19 pandemic, leading its internationally acclaimed reopening campaign, Open for Happiness, alongside a comprehensive brand and digital transformation that repositioned Fiji for long-term growth. She also championed the Care Fiji Commitment health and safety programme, strengthened industry partnerships and led the evolution of the destination brand to better reflect Fiji's culture and identity.
Earlier leadership roles at Museums Victoria, Hallmark Cards Australasia and VisitScotland further strengthened her expertise in destination marketing, audience development and brand strategy across international markets.
Emma holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Marketing from the University of the West of Scotland.
